Thank you for attending the school conferences and showing an interest in your child’s learning. This also shows students that we are a team working to support them in their education journey.
Thanks to parent council for bringing in dinner for the teachers Thursday evening. Thanks also to all the parents who donated books to the used book sale and for all the volunteers who organized and made this possible – smashing success!
Are You Leaving Royal Oak School?
We are currently planning for next year and we need your help. If your child is in grades K-3 and you will not be returning to ROS, please email or call the school to let us know. Thanks for your help with this as it helps us to make more accurate staffing decisions for the fall. RoyalOak@cbe.ab.ca or 403-777-6279.

Literacy Month at ROS is nearly wrapped up!
What a wonderful turnout at the Crowfoot Library on Tuesday evening. Thank you to all the families that came out and enjoyed story time and participated in the scavenger hunt. We had over 150 attendees and more than 30 new library cards were issued! We encourage you to continue to use the library throughout the Read-a-Thon.
Speaking of books, special thanks to everyone who made the Book Sale a great success. We sold lots of books while raising money for the school. Unsold books will be donated to the Little Red Reading House and in Little Free Libraries throughout our community.
If you haven’t sponsored your child for the Read-a-Thon, you can do so by clicking on this link: http://bit.ly/3St1Qtm. Remember to track your child’s reading every day - all Read-a-Thon participants will be entered for a draw to win one of many prizes. And the class that donates the most and reads the most will receive a class prize! Keep counting those minutes spent reading and turn in your time log to your teacher after spring break. You can learn more about the Read-a-Thon on the Royal Oak School Parents Group | Facebook page.
Wishing all of our Royal Oak families a wonderful Spring Break!
See you on Tuesday, April 2!
