About Our Fundraising Society

What is the Royal Oak Fundraising Society?

The Fundraising Society is a formal group of parents/guardians, incorporated under the Societies Act and is a separate legal entity from the School Council.  It engages in activities like casinos that raise funds to support students at the school.

Royal Oak School is able to provide a high level of activities and educational tools to students based on money raised through fundraising. The Society initiates a number of different fundraisers throughout the school year. These can vary from year to year based on past experience and success of previous fundraisers.

Meeting Dates/Schedule

All parents and guardians are welcome to join Society meetings. Whether you would like to stay informed, share ideas, help shape initiatives, or simply learn about what is happening in our school community – you are welcome!

Meetings are typically held on the first Wednesday of each month* at 7:00pm in the school staff room, immediately following the School Council Meeting. Attend as often as works for your schedule. There is no expectation to speak or volunteer outside of dropping in.

We aim to create a welcoming, respectful environment where ideas can be shared openly and decisions are made collaboratively.

Meeting reminders are sent out in the Principal’s Week Ahead email and dates are included on the school Calendar and website.

September meetings are typically held on the second Wednesday of the month following the start of school.
