Thank You

I wanted to send a special thanks to Parent Council for hosting the first of two movie nights last night.  Although the weather was cold outside, we had a sold out showing and the kids really enjoy themselves.  It was great to see families coming together to share in this community building event.  For the kids, it was like a big sleep over without the sleep over!  Thanks to all the parents who volunteered their time getting this pulled together.  Thanks also to our grade 4 volunteers who help to direct traffic, helped with handing out snack bags, concession and many others.

Veterans Food Bank Donation – Thanks to everyone who donated to this great cause.  We were able to collect 242 Kgs (533 lbs).  Thanks for caring Royal Oak School.  Thanks also to the Noah and Eli for helping to weigh and calculate the amount donated.

  • Friday : 8:00 am to 1:00 pm

We look forward to seeing you there and thank you for your support in fostering a love for reading in our school community

We need YOU! Your Royal Oak School parent volunteer teams are needing to fill these roles –

  • Fundraising Society: Chairperson
  • Fundraising Society: Secretary
    • Ideal would be to shadow this year with current team then take over roles for 2025/26 & 2026/27
    • Email ROSFundraisingSociety@gmail.com for more info about these roles
  • School Council: Volunteer Coordinator
    • Work alongside Alison this year as she is in her last year with ROS
    • Ideally a current Kindergarten, Grade 1 or Grade 2 parent, with some daytime flexibility, as a 2-school year commitment (2025/26 & 2026/27) is best
    • Work as a member of the Special Events Committee to create Sign Ups and support volunteers throughout the year at ROS and School Council/Fundraising Society events
    • Email ROSVolunteers@gmail.com

Have a great weekend everyone and stay warm!
