November Conferences
Thanks to everyone for making the effort to book a conference with your child’s teacher. As student move through their education journey, it is important that students see the partnership between the adults helping them along the way. A reminder that your child’s teacher is always your first point of contact. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to them and they will do their best to get back to you as soon as possible. https://royaloak.cbe.ab.ca/staff.
Thanks to parent council for also buying dinner for the teachers on Thursday evening.
Thanks to Ms. Azam and the parents for hosting the book fair
Thank You
Dear Royal Oak School,
Retiring from the CBE comes with mixed emotions because I have enjoyed the last 5 + years at Royal Oak School so very, very much. Thanks to everyone who surprised me on the back compound with all the love that anyone could handle; so thoughtful and I will always remember that special send off. Thank you to all the parents for your support over my time at ROS and for always being a partner in educating the whole child; I cannot send enough praise your way for all that you have done. Thanks for the countless hours volunteers have given because it truly makes a difference in the lives of kids and makes many extras possible. Thanks to the parents on School Council, past and present, who have worked tirelessly to support so many initiatives at the school and thanks for making our school a community hub. Thanks to all the staff who always put students first while striving to provide the best educational experience they can. Lastly, I want to thank the students for their endless energy and zest for life. Their giggles, their smiles, their silly jokes and seeing a child “light up” when they finally get something they have struggled with has made my job truly enjoyable. I leave with a full heart, many great memories of this amazing school and some great retirement advice from the kids, “get some sleep, go hiking, spend time with family, eat lots of vegetables, go sky diving, pick flowers, go on a vacation, don’t get too much screen time, don’t drink too much coffee and watch a sunset!”
Many thanks and best wishes to you all as I ride off into the sunset!
